How your baby's growing:

Your new resident is nearly an inch long — about the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. She's starting to look more and more human. Her essential body parts are accounted for, though they'll go through plenty of fine-tuning in the coming months.

How your baby's growing:

New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone.

7 Week Picture and Poll

One of my new maternity tanks, and I'll keep using this one for these pictures going forward. And here is what was going on last time.

How far along? 7 weeks

Maternity clothes? Just sleeping tanks
Stretch Marks? Nope
Sleep: Still exhausted, hoping for more naps this week
Best moment this week: Peter at the zoo, it was just the cutest thing all around

Food cravings: Maybe banana milk shakes, but mostly just morning sickness that seems so much worse than I remember last time
Gender: Don't know
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: Not waking up in the middle of the night to pee, it's going to be a long eight more month
What I am looking forward to: My appointment in August (not much going on this week)
Weekly Wisdom: Still nothing to share
Milestones: No milestones that I can think of

From theBump.com

your baby's the size of a blueberry!
Your .51-inch embryo doesn't exactly tip the scales just yet but she's developing like crazy. She's already doubled in size since last week.

How your baby's growing:

The big news this week: Hands and feet are emerging from developing arms and legs — although they look more like paddles at this point than the tiny, pudgy extremities you're daydreaming about holding and tickling. Technically, your baby is still considered an embryo and has something of a small tail, which is an extension of her tailbone. The tail will disappear within a few weeks, but that's the only thing getting smaller. Your baby has doubled in size since last week and now measures half an inch long, about the size of a blueberry.

Happy Twenty-Seven Months!

The date got away from me, and I completely forgot I had to do this update. From BabyCenter.com

At twenty-seven and twenty-eight months, most children can:
Jump with both feet - He's been doing this for ages, even this morning he was pretending to be a frog and jumping all around the apartment
Open doors - He knows how to do it in theory, but he doesn't seem quite able to finish turning the door knob yet on most doors

At twenty-seven and twenty-eight months, half the children can:
Understand descriptions (e.g. big, soft) - Check
Draw a vertical line - He can do this, but it isn't always pretty

At twenty-seven and twenty-eight months, a few children can:
Start to recognize ABCs - He's done this for a long time now, and is starting to try to draw some letters himself
Balance on one foot - He can do this as well

I don't have a July album yet since just about all of my pictures are in other albums, but I'll update here when I start one.

UPDATE: There is now a small July album on Picasa.

How far along? 6 weeks

Best moment this week: Peter being so excited for the fireworks tonight
Movement: Nothing yet
Food cravings: Still nothing really

theBump.com

your baby's the size of a sweet pea!

How your baby's growing:

This week's major developments: The nose, mouth, and ears that you'll spend so much time kissing in eight months are beginning to take shape. If you could see into your uterus, you'd find an oversize head and dark spots where your baby's eyes and nostrils are starting to form.
