36 Week Picture and Poll

Bonus picture week, and very possibly the last one (unless I get all the way to 40 weeks). I'm definitely as tired as I look. This is a big weekend coming up, as we are finally getting stuff ready for the baby and the hospital as well as getting Peter his big boy bed. Last time, I was getting ready to see the baby, and for my baby shower.

How far along? 36 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Back to 33 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Yes, and started to get a few nursing shirts for when the baby is born.
Stretch Marks? It seems to be just the one, but I am still itchy.
Sleep: I'm very tired, but having a hard time falling asleep.
Best moment this week: Seeing the baby again.
Movement: Yes, and it is still uncomfortable.
Food cravings: Still sweet.
Gender: Team pink won the poll.
Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks.
Belly Button in or out? Out.
What I miss: Having Peter sitting in my lap and cuddling (he really doesn't fit anymore).
What I am looking forward to: Getting stuff ready this weekend (new bed for Peter, washing clothes, installing the carseat...).
Milestones: Starting weekly appointments this week.

A Look at the Chubby Cheeks

Today I had my growth scan to check on the size of the baby. Currently Baby B is measuring at 6 pounds 2 ounces, and the tech estimated that he or she will be about the same size as Peter when the time comes. That was definitely not that comforting to me as I had a long labor with Peter and ended up with a c-section anyway. Although I have heard from a couple of mom friends who had c-sections for their first and vbacs for their second that the second time was a lot easier.

Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of the face, and I definitely see a resemblance to Big Brother Peter. The first two pictures are the easiest to see, although you still need to tilt your head to the right to see it. The top of the head is all the way to the right, and you can see the two eyes, nose and mouth (not to mention chubby cheeks). In the second picture, the hands are up, but you can see a little bit of a smile.

Five Weeks

Five weeks in, and five weeks out. Such a huge difference, much like last time. Here is a bonus comparison.

35 Week Picture and Poll

Only five weeks to go! This was a rough week, with the temperature dropping drastically and Geoff and Peter both getting sick. Last time, things were pretty uneventful.

How far along? 35 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Up to 34 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch Marks? Still itchy, and I may have one more near my belly button.
Sleep: Very uncomfortable, I had to prop myself up last night because of stuffiness, I don't remember having to do that this early last time.
Best moment this week: Slow week with everyone (else) being sick, so I'm going to say hearing the baby's heartbeat with Peter.
Movement: Oh yes.
Food cravings: Sweet, and I've had a lot of clementines this week.
Gender: Team pink won the poll.
Labor Signs: Just Braxton Hicks.
Belly Button in or out? It's popped.
What I miss: Wearing my ring, it's starting to be a little too tight to be comfortable.
What I am looking forward to: Seeing the baby tomorrow (at our growth check ultrasound).
Milestones: 35 weeks down, 35 days to go.

Happy Thirty-Three Months!

Oops, I am well over a week late with this update, and I completely forgot to do it last month at all. A lot has happened in the past two months, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and Connor's birthday party. The best place to keep up with all these things is on our family blog. I have also started a 365 project for Peter, which so far I've managed to keep up to date. I'm planning on starting to post a few more updates here as well, but we'll see how I keep up with that.

From BabyCenter.com

At thirty-three and thirty-four months, most children can:
Names one color - He can name many color, and has been doing this for a while now
Names one friend - He names many friends, and has been doing this for a while as well
Carries on a simple conversation - He can do this too, he has gotten much more talkative

At thirty-three and thirty-four months, half the children can:
Alternates feet going up and down stairs - He does this when he is holding someone's hand, but not when he's holding the banister by himself
Uses prepositions (e.g., on, in, over) - Check
Speaks clearly most of the time (75 percent can be understood) - Hard to say since he seems to be using a lot of made up words, but a lot of what he says does make sense.
Stacks eight blocks - I haven't actually counted, but he does make high towers

At thirty-three and thirty-four months, a few children can:
Is toilet trained during the day - No, but we are going to try again next weekend. It would be nice if he was toilet trained before the baby was born.
Wiggles thumb - He says that he can't and refuses to try.
Expresses a wide range of emotions - Oh yes
Draws a stick figure - I haven't seen him do this, and he still kind of is drawing in scribbles

34 Week Picture and Poll

Finally not feeling sick anymore (took long enough), but I'm still absolutely exhausted. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going, there seems like we still have so much to do to get ready. How far along? 34 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Up to 32 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch Marks? Still just the one, but I'm getting much itchier.
Sleep: Better than when I was sick, but still not as well as I would like to.
Best moment this week: Anniversary date night with
Movement: Very visible and still uncomfortable.

Gender: Team pink won the poll.
Labor Signs: Just Braxton Hicks.
Belly Button in or out? It's popped.
What I miss: Being able to stand for extended periods of time, it's making cooking dinner very difficult.

33 Week Picture and Poll

Still not feeling well, and I think that the picture shows it, although I am a bit better now than a week ago. When I was at my appointment on Friday, my doctor was not happy that I've been sick for so long, so she put me on antibiotics. They seemed to have helped a little, even if they haven't cleared it up completely. Last time I was suffering from some of the same sleeping issues as I am now, specifically the hip problem.

How far along? 33 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Back up a little to 30 1/2 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch Marks? Still just the one, I've been much better about using the stretch mark system.
Sleep: Still a bit on the stuffy side, so while I would love to sleep more, I am having a hard time falling asleep. Also, I'm starting to get pains in my hip when I sleep on my side. Overall, it just isn't working out too well for me.
Best moment this week: Watching Peter's face as he listened to the baby's heartbeat for the first time (Geoff still hasn't heard it, and at this point I doubt that he will)
Movement: Still lots, and it's still uncomfortable.
Food cravings: Still the clementines, if anything.
Gender: Team pink won the poll.
Labor Signs: Other than braxton hicks starting, no.
Belly Button in or out? It's popped.
What I miss: Peter being able to comfortably sit in my lap.
What I am looking forward to: Anniversary date night this weekend.
Milestones: Peter hearing the heartbeat for the first time,  my first (and hopefully last) round of antibiotics and the start of braxton hicks. This has been a busy week.

32 Week Picture and Poll

Bonus picture week. I'm still feeling pretty awful, but so much better than last week, so I did actually take them this time. Not that they are the best pictures ever. In fact, they are pretty terrible, but Geoff couldn't help since he's also feeling sick this week. Last time around, we were at the tail end of moving, and I was in full on nesting mode. I would be nesting right now, but this stupid cold has knocked out all my energy that I just don't want to get anything done.

How far along? 32 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Down a little to 28.5 pounds. I'm thinking being sick all week had something to do with that.
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch Marks? Just the one that Geoff pointed out, although I am getting itchier, which I don't think is a good thing.
Sleep: Still not sleeping as well as I would like since my cough is still pretty bad, but I am sleeping a thousand times better than last week.
Best moment this week: Another long weekend with Geoff being home, it was really nice having him home so much.
Movement: Still lots.
Food cravings: If anything, citrus. I've had a lot of clementines this week.
Gender: The poll is closed, and team pink won 3 to 1. Two months until we find out for sure.
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? It's popped
What I miss: Not coughing all the time
What I am looking forward to: Baby Brady's Christening this weekend
Milestones: Really started to suffer from heartburn this week, I don't remember that happening as much last time.
